Kenneth ("Neth") Williams, A.S.

Neth Williams joined Blackshear Capital & Legal, PLLC, as a paralegal in January 2008, upon finishing an internship he begun with the firm in September, 2007.
Prior to graduating Magna Cum Laude with an A.S. in Legal Assisting from Draughon’s Junior College, Neth was a Petty Officer Third Class in the Naval Nuclear Power Training Command, a top military program. After receiving the Commanding Officer’s Personal Excellence Award, he was transferred to the Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corp of Charleston, SC.
After an honorable discharge, Neth pursued a degree in Legal Assisting. As a student, he was invited to join the advisory board as the student member. During his student tenure on the Board, he made the contacts necessary to allow for the Nashville Legal Aid Society to give night students an opportunity to obtain practical legal experience through Pro Bono work.
Working through college as a temporary professional, he obtained experience in Accounting, Human Resources, and Marketing. His experience with the Legal Aid Society, plus his education, has provided him with up-to-date knowledge in Legal Transcription, Domestic Law, Real Estate Law, Tort Law, Criminal Law, Business Law, Legal Research and Legal Software/Technology.
In February of 2008, he received the Volunteer of the Year Award by the Middle Tennessee Paralegal Association.
